Awards will be given to some of the thirty-seven (37) nominated categories, in addition to the Special Awards of Honor to those who have been making extraordinary contributions to music and other industries.

Recently, the awards have added four new categories for 2024 which are; Dancehall Performer of the Year, Best Singjay Artist, Best African Entertainer and Best Social Media Influencer. The winner of the last year’s 40th IRAWMA was ‘History Man’.

On Friday, March 22, 2024, the 41st IRAWMA will follow a time schedule that includes a red Carpet Arrival at 7:00 p.m., a VIP Reception at 7:30 p.m., and an Awards Showcase at 8:30 p.m.

In 2024, it will be the eighth (8th) time that South Florida is hosting the Reggae and World Music’s biggest event of honours, the only one of its kind that, for more than forty years, honours Reggae, Caribbean, African and other world music industry members.

Notably, the 35th IRAWMA was also held in South Florida in 2016 and made history as it was a record-setting celebration for its founder, Dr Martin.

Earlier, the world-famous Apolo Theatre and other venues in New York hosted IRAWMA from 2003 through 2010, and later, the 30th Anniversary of IRAWMA was celebrated in Trinidad and Tobago.

The award function will be a four-hour long function that will include many Afro artists and other renowned artists.
