Know winners of “Radio Zimbabwe Top-50”

Radio Zimbabwe released list of top-50 whose songs rank the music chart. Sons of legend ‘Alick Macheso’, Tatenda and Esau were runner up.

Zimbabwe: Radio Zimbabwe released the list of top-50 whose songs rank the music chart.

Sungura Musician Tindo Ngwazi became the highest-paid musician at the Radio Zimbabwe Top 50, as he received 2000 USD. He also won the song of the year for his single track ‘Musatipedza Nguva’. He was also ranked on number 01 with the song ‘Huruyadzo’.

Another winner of Radio Zimbabwe Top 50, Jah Prayzah received 800 USD for his musical track ‘Chiremerera’ and ranked at number 4.

Whereas, Sons of the living music legend ‘Alick Macheso’, Tatenda and Esau Macheso stood as runners up among the top-50.

Radio Zimbabwe is the oldest biggest running and most popular radio station of the country Zimbabwe. It was established in year 1966 after the collapse of the decade long Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland between 1953 and 1963.

It was embarked to cater the African part of Rhodesia’s population, the station has metamorphosized, continuously and rejuvenated itself to meet the needs of the population especially independent Zimbabwe.

At Independence, the station was given the name Radio 2. The broadcasting station is also known as ‘Huruyadzo’ which means the greatest.
