KwaZulu Natal (Verulam CBD): A man in his thirties was seriously injured after he was attacked while approaching a Sex Worker in the Verulam CBD – KZN on Monday afternoon.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene in the evening. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered a male lying on the ground, bleeding from his injuries. According to his friends, they were consuming alcohol at Mahatma Gandhi Park near the Verulam Magistrates Court on Groom Street when the victim decided to approach a Sex Worker near the railway line.
While communicating with her, two suspects confronted the heavily intoxicated male. One suspect produced a knife and robbed him of his cash. It could not be confirmed if the victim retaliated before he was assaulted with a metal object.
The Prostitute and the robbers fled in an unknown direction. The seriously injured male made his way back to his friends and contacted the RUSA Operations Centre for assistance. The victim was stabilised on the scene before being transported to the hospital.
However, residents of the Verulam are supporting the Prostitute as as per them, he was cheating on his wife by doing this kind of activity. “I can bet my last cent that he has a wife or girlfriend at home waiting for him while he gets robbed and assaulted trying to buy sex… speedy recovery, BearBeezwe,” said one of the locals.
“His wife was making a dangerous prayer no prostitute formed against her husband will prosper lol,” said another user.
However, it was shocking to see that nobody was supporting the man as he was injured. Nobody is even praying for his speedy recovery or something. It seems that people are supporting that Prostitute and calling the man her bodyguard.
“She told him right not to go home and stop spreading aids in the country/Area,” said one of the users.
