The Botswana National Men’s Beach Volleyball Team has defeated their opponents, Sierra Leone National Men’s Team 2-0 in a third place match.

Botswana: The Botswana National Men’s Beach Volleyball Team has defeated their opponents, Sierra Leone National Men’s Team. The team gave their opponents a tough time throughout the match and reduced the opponents to a nil goal count.

The match happened on Thursday at the Laboma Beach Volleyball Court in the ongoing All-African Games in Accra, Ghana. Botswana has been giving its best to the All-African Games and has confirmed its bronze medal.

The Sierra Leone National Men’s team has lost the match with a score of 2-0. The match was much anticipated and served as a proud moment for the fans of the Botswanan team. The members of the Botswanan squad are delighted by the victory and proud to bring another bronze medal for Botswana.

After the victory, the captain of the Botswana National Men’s Beach Volleyball Team noted that their journey was exceptional. According to the team, Botswana was an extremely underdog team at the start of the tournament.

However, they worked hard for their success and eventually secured the bronze medal. Meanwhile, the Sierra Leone National Men’s team captain also expressed his disappointment over the outcome.

Ahmed Junior Aruna lamented the unfortunate outcome, “We gave our all to secure a win, but circumstances did not favour us. Yesterday marked one of the most difficult moments in my career as an international beach volleyball player.”

Notably, many sports officials from both countries were at the Laboma Beach Volleyball Court. The exciting match ended in the favour of the Botswanan team, which prompted the people to start their celebrations.

The people of Botswana have taken to their social media to extend their gratitude and pride on the team’s success. Meanwhile, the Botswana Volleyball Federation officials have also extended their best wishes to the team.

After a successful stint at the All African Games in Accra, the team is set to return to the country on Saturday at 14:35 Hours. The organization is hosting a welcome back ceremony for the team. They have also invited people of the country to turn up in large numbers to support the initiative.
