Malawi: Chief Executive Officer for Ethanol Malawi in Dwangwa, Lusubilo Chakaza, has urged the corporate sector to support the country’s education sector. He believes that the corporate sector can take several new steps in the direction of improved education delivery.

The students of Malawi will be able to access better  all around education facilities with the support of the business community. It is a notable fact that the education sector is a very important part of the growth of the nation.

The officials have shared that the education is extremely important for the future of the nation. The Chief Executive Officer for Ethanol Malawi in Dwangwa, Lusubilo Chakaza made the call on Monday.

At the time, he was visiting Majiga primary school in Dwangwa. During his visit to the school, the company presented a cheque to the schools. The cheque amounted to a total of K9.4 million. The officials have shared that the funds will be used to help in theconstruction of toilets.

The funds donated by the officers will also help in facilitating purchase of books at Mlala and Majija primary schools respectively.

The CEO of the organization highlighted that they had been receiving calls of support from the organization. The Majiga school needs school books, On the other hand,  Mulala primary school needs toilets” said Chakaza.

Chakaza also announced that they have extended their support in line with the company’s safety and sanitation shared value program. The CEO said that they hope that these donations would go a long way to assist these schools.

Chief Education Officer for Nkhotakota district, Godfrey Kubwense appreciated the company for their gesture in the success of the organization. He also said that they should continue to support the education sector of the country. The support will help them in improving the quality of education delivery in Malawi.

Senior Group Village Nkhongo delivered a brief address at the event. He applauded companies working in the area for always supporting the community. The education sector stakeholders are happy to see the corporate sector take the responsibility to supplement the efforts of the government.
