Building fire claims three lives, one missing in Missionlands

The Reaction Unit South Africa has recovered the burnt bodies of three people in a building destroyed in a fire on Eagle Road in Missionlands.

South Africa: Four people were killed in two separate motor vehicle accidents on the R101 last night.

The first accident happened next to the weighbridge in Waterberg District, where a sedan is reported to have collided with a heavy motor vehicle after ignoring a stop sign.

The male driver of the sedan and two female passengers sadly lost their lives. Another passenger who sustained serious injuries was transported to Voorttreker hospital for medical attention.

The second accident happened next to The Ranch Hotel in Capricorn District. A sedan is also reported to have collided with a heavy motor vehicle. The possible cause of their collision is the Overspeed of vehicles.

Law enforcement officers and emergency services have attended to and cleared the two scenes. Motorists are, however, still pled to drive with caution.

Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Polly Boshielo, send condolences to the bereaved families.

“We continue to plead with motorists to follow the rules of the road at all times, for them to arrive alive at their respective destinations,” said MEC Boshielo.

Accidents are very common on these roads, last month in July, three teenagers also lost their lives due to overspeeding on their R81.

The only survivor has been transported to Nkhensani Hospital for medical attention.

The department of Limpopo Department of Transport and Safety sends condolences to the family of the victims. This is a third continuous mishappening in the same district that has claimed lives over this week, which is the cause of concern.
