Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has won top honours at the 2026 Meru ASK Show held under the theme “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.” The KFS exhibition stand attracted a large number of visitors throughout the event.
At the event, visitors commended KFS for its informative and interactive exhibits that showcased climate-smart forestry practices. The displays featured a variety of tree species and provided guidance on the ecological suitability of different trees for planting in various regions.
The bamboo display, in particular, captured significant attention and attracted numerous visitors eager to learn more about its environmental, economic and social benefits. Many visitors appreciated the practical information that was provided on the bamboo cultivation and utilisation. KFS also noted its potential to support environmental conservation, climate resilience and livelihood improvement.
Furthermore, the visitors praised Kenya Forest Service (KFS) staff for their professionalism, hospitality and commitment to educate the public on the critical role that forests play in supporting sustainable economic growth, environmental conservation and community development.
During the event, KFS was recognised as the Best Stand in the Energy Services and Conservation Sector that further strengthened public confidence in the dedication of the Service towards excellence in environmental conservation and public service delivery.
In addition to this, KFS was also awarded with second position in the Innovation and Invention Stand Category and Second Position in the Organisation/Association Supporting and Promoting Community Projects and Services Category.
Overall, KFS received the positive feedback from visitors. Meru ASK Show 2026 was observed at the Gitoro Showground from Wednesday, June 17, 2026, to Saturday, June 20, 2026. The event invited residents of Meru County, Tharaka Nithi, Isiolo, Laikipia and neighbouring regions to the 2026 Meru National Show. This premier event celebrated agricultural innovation, trade and regional collaboration by providing a vibrant platform for learning, networking and business growth.
