Africa: Yesterday, the people of this province and the whole country witnessed the swearing-in of the 9th Premier of the Province of KwaZulu-Natal during a Special Sitting.
In that meeting, she encouraged everyone by giving special messages of support from ordinary members of society, religious leaders, traditional leaders and big business.
Furthermore, she mentioned, “We are mindful of the high expectations from different sectors of society. It is for this reason that we are moving with speed to announce new members of the Provincial Executive Council who will champion the socio-economic development programmes of the ANC government.”
She stated: “Myself as the Premier with colleagues in the new Executive Council, we understand that we have a huge responsibility to deliver a better life for all our people across all corners.”
As we move forward, we are making a call to communities to come forward and interact with the new Provincial Executive Council and make the contributions that will shape government policies to address issues of their concerns. You will find us to be a government that listens and take seriously all matters placed for our attention, said Premier.
She also added that she accepts that for the good of the province and country, all communities must come forward and make their contribution, utilizing the experience and expertise available to them to make ours a winning province.
