Botswana: The Minister for Youth and Gender Affairs, Lesego Chombo has travelled to France for attending a forum. The 11th edition of the Climate Change Forum for Sustainable Development is being hosted in Paris, France.
The Ministry of Youth and gender Affairs has taken the lead to bring Botswana’s stand in the international community. The issue of climate change and climate action is one reality of the world in the modern times.
The world has to come together to find the solution for the issue and make constant efforts to address the issue. The leaders have shared some images from the event on the Ministry social media account.
The aim of the forum in Paris is to bring the corporate sector, environment practitioners and other stakeholders to work together. The leaders from many nations of the world came to Paris to participate in the forum.
The youngest leader in the Botswana cabinet has taken the responsibility to represent the nation in Paris. The focus of the Minister’s participation is to bring the international attention to the various issues affecting Botswana.
The leaders have shared that the forum was attended by members of the corporate sector, practitioners, and global leaders. Although the major aim of the forum is to address climate change. Minister Chombo participated in three panel discussions.

She also said that they are dedicated to integrating gender and youth perspectives into climate policies. She wants to make sure that young people across Africa are well-informed about the severe impacts of climate change.
