Africa: The Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Polly Boshielo, strongly condemns a shooting incident by a police officer that claimed the lives of three people, including himself.
It is alleged that today, a police constable from Roedtan in full uniform, shot a man and a woman in Seshego. He thereafter turned the gun and shot himself to death. The circumstances surrounding the whole incident are still under investigation.

“This is very tragic, and the manner it is alleged to have happened traumatic. We encourage our police officers to always seek help when experiencing personal problems of any kind. Our wellness section is always ready to listen and offer professional assistance at all material times.
We are deeply saddened, and we send condolences to all the affected families,” said MEC Boshielo, adding that psycho-social professionals will be made available to offer necessary counselling to affected families.
