South Africa: Two learners from Shabalala Secondary School were honored for flying the provincial flag high in different sporting codes both at a Provincial and National level. This happened on the occasion of the official handover of the School on Tuesday, 02 August 2022.

MEC Majuba bestowed tokens of appreciation to Winnie Makarinke for representing the Province at the National Netball Championship, while Vusi Sambo represented the Province in the National Soccer Championship.

“I was told that already some of the learners from this school are flying the provincial flag high in different sporting codes both at a Provincial and national level. To this end, I request Winnie Makarinke to ascend the stage to receive her token of appreciation for Representing the Province at a National Netball Championship. I already see you showcasing your trade overseas, my girl; keep on keeping on. I also request Vusi Sambo, who also made a serious mark and has represented the Province in the National Soccer Championship. Well done, my son. The world awaits your enterprising soccer prowess. Don’t look back; keep shining.”

The Certificates of appreciation were handed over by the MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport, Ms Mohita Latchminarain, on behalf of MEC Majuba.
