Botswana: Play Without Boundaries hosted an event at Ba Isago University, Gaborone Campus to promote a sense of unity among people living with disabilities and able bodied individuals. The organization wants to make sure that the programme can serve as a platform for people to come together.
The people, regardless of their bodily differences, had the opportunity to interact and engage with each other. The theme of the sports event was, Strength in Unity: Celebrating Diversity & Empowering Ability (#ReTshamekarotlhe).
The first programme for the sports event was a 5km walk. This event was followed by seated aerobics and sporting competitions.
The sports events which were hosted include wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, bocce & blind football.
MYSC Public Relations officer Kesego Tatedi – Event Executive Director said that this event aims to raise awareness and promote inclusivity. The sports fraternity of the country have shared that they are working hard to make sure that people feel included
The event also assists sports bodies like Paralympics Association of Botswana and Special Olympics to scout for talent. The people of the country have applauded Play without Boundries for organizing the event
The Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture was the main sponsor for the sports event.

The sponsors supported the successful implementation of the event for the sporting youngsters of Botswana. The officials have confirmed that the event was concluded as planned.
The officials however confirmed that they wanted to reach more people living with disabilities. They have shared some images from the sports event on their social media.
The organizers have urged the public to look forward to the next Play Without Boundries event. The organization hoped that the next event would be bigger & better for the people living with disabilities.
