St Kitts and Nevis: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis has expressed his pride in inaugurating the Conaree Football Stadium in the Conaree Community. The opening ceremony for the stadium was hosted on Saturday May 3.
The Prime Minster was delighted with the fact that he and his team at Conaree were able to give the community their very own stadium. He asserted that the construction and renovation of the sporting facility should have been available to the community.
In his address at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Conaree Football Stadium, Dr Drew noted that they were ten year late in delivering the stadium. In the words of the Prime Minister, the stadium was scheduled for completion in the year 2016.
However, the previous administration was not able to deliver due to some issues. However, with the official opening of the Football Stadium, PM Drew was proud to announce that the community can finally utilise the space.
The football club of Conaree can use the stadium as their home ground and practice as well as play in the facility. The community can also use the stadium for their own personal events and celebrations.
The opening of the new stadium is also crucial because the Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew serves as the Parliamentary Representative of Conaree. He noted that the opening ceremony was the celebration of the community for its unity, progress and dedication.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the opening of the Conaree Football Stadium was a win for the community. He hoped that with this stadium, the sports infrastructure of the country will see an upward trajectory.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Terrance Drew said that he wants the sports sector of the federation to grow and thrive. The Drew led administration had made the promise to not only deliver the stadium but also to take the sporting sector forward.
The opening ceremony for the Conaree Stadium was attended by a large number of government officers, sports stakeholders, leaders and more.
