St Kitts: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew has applauded the 2024 cohort of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens. The teenagers across the nation are honored for their hard work and dedication to constantly becoming better.
The aim of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens awards is to make sure that the youngsters are acknowledged for their achievements. The teenagers, who have brought laurels to the nation in any sectors, whether it is sports, culture, music or education.
The leaders have shared that they are proud to note that the teens of the country are working hard to make their nation proud. The Prime Minister was proud to note that the 2024 cohort was honored in a special sitting of the national assembly.
The event was hosted in the presence of the Federal Cabinet of St Kitts and Nevis. The mmmbers of the community have shared that the team of the Department of Youth Empowerment was also present at the event.
Thee 25 most remarkable teens were honoured for their significant contribution to thee following sectors,
- Academics
- Sports
- Entrepreneurship
- Leadership
- Volunteerism
- Youth Activism
- Spiritual Commitment
The government wants to make sure that the youngsters’ support to these various fields will help them in assuming a more encompassing role in the all round development of the nation. Working in the aforementioned field will help them in taking more leadership oriented roles.
The national assembly paid a tribute to the leadership, excellence and courage of these teens. The Prime Minister said that the teens make him feel proud and fill him up with hope for the bright future of the federation.
PM Terrance Drew hoped that they would serve as role models for their peers and inspire them to make the federation proud. The award ceremony was a part of the youth month festivities, which sought to highlight and honor the youngsters of St Kitts.
November is celebrated as youth month every year and features a number of activities and initiatives which seeks to promote youth participation.
