South Africa: The reaction unit South Africa is looking for four suspects in relation to a business robbery that occurred on Arbee Drive on Monday in the Tongaat CBD—KZN. The officials have shared some images from the scene.
The Reaction Unit officer was informed of the business robbery at approximately 11:06 a.m. on Monday. At the time of the incident, the Reaction Unit officials were on patrol.
The officials have shared that they interviewed the eyewitnesses of the incident and got the details of the incident. According to the eyewitness account, four men who are the suspects of the incident entered a bar and purchased alcohol from it.
They thereafter produced firearms and locked four employees of the bar in a storeroom and fled the room after robbing. The victims forced open the door and freed themselves from the locked room. They discovered that the robbers fled after stealing the cash, alcohol & cigarettes from the bar premises.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the gunmen, but no arrests were made. The Reaction Unit South Africa officers have shared that they are continuing the investigation into the matter.
The people of the country have shared that the business robberies have made the province and the Tongaat neighbourhood insecure and dangerous. The increasing number of such incidents has led many patrons to change their preferred businesses.
The lack of safety in several neighbourhoods of KwaZulu-Natal has resulted in many businesses in the country face reduction and loss of costumers.
One of the social media users, Xolanie Quinton also expressed his views on the incident, “You see I have to get another bar… Paradise Is No Longer Safety.” Said the patron.
Another user claimed, Arbee Drive with its location is very sketchy nowadays. Not only for business, but for everyone, despite its proximity to the SAPS services.
The social media user added, “I had a bad experience there and so did many others, just that these stats are hardly reported or published. As for the business in question, 4 times is too much, they ought to rethink how they do business. It’s sad however. I hope no one was injured.”
