St Kitts and Nevis: Psychiatric Ward Patient commits suicide in JNF hospital

Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: A male resident of St Kitts and Nevis committed suicide at 3:30 am Yesterday (Thursday) morning, and his family admitted him to the Psychiatric Ward of the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.

Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: A male resident of St Kitts and Nevis committed suicide at 3:30 am Yesterday (Thursday) morning, and his family admitted him to the Psychiatric Ward of the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment. 

The staff at the Ministry of Health and the Joseph N. France General Hospital and Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew gave their best in order to save the life of that person and also offered full condolences and support to the family and their loved ones of the deceased patient at this trying time. 

The whole Ministry of Health and his team are saddened by this tragic event. They also informed the family about the incident, and immediately, they also launched an analysis of the situation by the Joseph N. France General Hospital, and its findings will be shared with the family. 

Hospital management continues to review measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff remains a priority. More information will follow as the investigation proceeds. 

As per the reports that the patient’s name was identified as a Psychiatric Prisoner, Jahdell Browne.

According to the police, Browne, due to his situation, was charged with the murders of John Napier ( 75) and Sylvester Harris ( 37) and also the wounding of Wilfred Simmonds ( 52). 

As per Jahdell Browne’s medical reports that Browne was a mentally ill person and was admitted in hospital.
