St. Kitts and Nevis: Two major cruise ships ‘Celebrity Beyond’ and ‘Star of the Seas’ have arrived at the port and welcomed over 14,000 passengers and crew aboard.
As per the sources, the Celebrity Beyond has brought approx. 3,400 passengers and 1,417 crew members with it. While Star of the Seas has carried approx. 7,161 passengers and 2,500 crew members along with it.
Upon receiving the cruises, Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew stated that this is a tremendous achievement, especially during what is traditionally considered as the off-season. He said that this level of cruise activity brings continued growth to the economy and provides many job opportunities for the people.
PM Drew commended the Government, Minister of Tourism – Marsha T. Henderson and the dedicated team at the Ministry of Tourism for their continued work in strengthening St. Kitts and Nevis as a premier cruise destination.

“St. Kitts Is Being Seen Now” – Marsha Henderson
Recently, Tourism Minister – Marsha T. Henderson called for a press conference and shared key results from St. Kitts’ global marketing efforts. She mentioned that 650K+ viewers reached through Amazon Prime campaigns. 8.5 million travellers engaged via major airport placements and a combined 235+ million global reach have been earned through media, whose impact is clear and promising.
Minister Henderson said that St. Kitts is being seen now, and this is just the beginning.

Home Porting From Port Zante Beginning In Nov 2027
Among the major announcements made during the press conference was the historic milestone of St. Kitts commencing cruise home-porting operations that is beginning in November 2027. Through this initiative, Port Zante will serve as the primary turnaround port and will allow thousands of travellers to begin and end their cruise vacations directly on the island. It is a significant development expected to boost visitor arrivals and expand economic opportunities across the Federation.
Furthermore, the officials also provided updates on the strong performance of the airlift and cruise sectors of the destinations. While they proudly announced that St. Kitts has received nominations in four categories for the 2026 World Travel Awards.

St. Kitts Music Festival On The Way
Additionally, a comprehensive update was shared on preparations for the 2026 edition of the St. Kitts Music Festival which is going to take place from June 25 to 27, 2026 and is expected to deliver another exciting showcase of music, culture and entertainment.
At the conference Minister of Tourism – Marsha T. Henderson was joined at the head table by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism – Tirana Wharton; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) – Adeola Moore; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the St. Kitts Urban Development Corporation and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority – Melnecia Marshall.
Notably, the press conference underscored the continued commitment of the Federation to strengthen its tourism product, expand global partnerships and position St. Kitts and Nevis as a premier destination in the Caribbean.
