South Africa: The United Nations mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) has a mandate which includes the protection of civilians, especially women and children. In line with this mandate, On February 17, 2023, the Republic of South Africa Quick Reaction Force I deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo in Beni, Mavivi Village, deemed it fit to engage with the local population through a Civil-Military Cooperation project at the Republic of South Africa Quick Reaction Force Base.
