Kenya: CS Ministry of Energy & Petroleum Davis Chirchir has expressed the commitment of the Ministry to work with Kenya Forest Service in tree growing & rehabilitation of degraded forest areas across the country as part of the Ministry's approach towards its mandate in reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions and carbon footprint arising from its operations in the Fossil Fuels Sector.
Kenya: The Ag. Chief Conservator of Forests Alex Lemarkoko led the Senior Management Team & entire Kenya Forest Service Headquarters Staff in planting 3000 mixed indigenous tree seedlings at the Ngong Road Forest Station in Nairobi.
Kenya: Yesterday, Friends of Karura (FKF), Community Forest Association met with the KFS Board Chairman, Mr Job Chirchir and the Ag—Chief Conservator of Forests, Mr Alex Lemarkoko. Led by the CFA Chairperson, Dr Winnie Kiiru, the FKF gave a brief synopsis of their inception in 2009 up to the present and outlined their achievements.
