South Africa: Today, Two 19 year old males were injured in a drive-by shooting shortly after leaving a tavern in Cottonlands - KZN last night (Friday).

South Africa: Today, Two 19 year old males were injured in a drive-by shooting shortly after leaving a tavern in Cottonlands – KZN last night (Friday).

At approximately 21:55, a white Toyota Quantum drove to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) HQ with the injured teens.

One of the boys was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his right arm, back and abdomen, while the second teenager suffered an injury to his head.

According to the victims, they left a tavern and were travelling in their bakkie in the direction of Ndwedwe – KZN when they realised they were being followed.

The driver sped up when the occupants of the vehicle following them opened fire. They veered off the road and crashed their vehicle. They fled on foot into a bush and hid where they hid from their attackers. After a brief period, they exited the bush and sought assistance from a resident who transported them to RUSA for assistance.

The injured males were stabilised before being transported to the hospital by ambulance.
