KZN first composite title deed handover boosts Community Prosperity

Shallcross, KwaZulu Natal: KZN will witness their first-ever handover of a composite title deed for the institutional, wholesale benefit of a community in eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality since the start of the ongoing title deed on Tuesday Campaign in September.

Africa: One of the ANC leaders died on Wednesday, a week after being in a car crash. He was admitted to the Netcare Milpark Hospital, where he remained unconscious until his last breath. 

Several people poured their tributes in for former Johannesburg mayor Mpho Moerane.

Moerane was carried in to fill Jolidee Matongo’s position after the latter’s death in a car accident in September 2021. 

He remained on the mayoral seat until last year’s local government elections, which saw the ANC lose the metro to the DA. 

President Cyril Ramaphosa called Moerane’s leadership in the metro and within the ANC.

“This is a sad day for the whole of Johannesburg and the nation, as we all lost a vibrant, young leader. Mpho Moerane was an entrepreneurial, multi-talented leader who placed his skills and creative energy at the disposal of the citizens of Johannesburg.”

Ramaphosa stated: “We all will miss his contribution to his political home, the ANC, and his contribution to Johannesburg’s development as one of our country’s and continent’s most important economic and cultural centres. 

Many, including recent Johannesburg mayor Mpho Phalatse, have shared heartfelt condolences to Moerane’s family.

One of the Executive Mayor, as well as politician, ‘Mpho Phalatse’, tweeted, “This is a time of communal mourning for the City and beyond.” Robala ka Khotso, Bitso. She also gave condolences to his wife, Fikile, and his four children on behalf of the Joburg Multi-Party Government. 

One of the activists ‘Kwena Molekwa’ wrote, “May the soul of former Joburg Mayor Cde Mpho Moerane Rest In Peace. Strength to the Moerane Family & Friends!”

Tumi Sole, African ‘Corporate Mmeli‘ “also gave condolences to his family, friends and colleagues of Former Mayor of Joburg.”

Premier and Chairperson of the Gauteng Province also tweeted and wrote, “I am saddened when I hear the news of Cde Mpho Moerane’s passing. When I visited him in hospital, I went there with the hope that he would recover & return soon to serving the people of Johannesburg with the responsibility & same energy he has always shown. Heartfelt condolences to his wife Fikile and the children.”
