Trulieve Cannabis Corp (OTCMKTS: TCNNF) is to launch a line of cannabis concentrates made using hydrocarbon extraction. The first product from the hydrocarbon line, Live Resin, has been made available.

Features of Live Resin
Live Resin is made in the company’s lab through Trulieve’s mix of butane and propane on TruFlower frozen soon after being harvested. The resultant concentrate, Live Resin, is very flavourful and strain-specific. In comparison to other concentrates, it has high levels of terpenes and cannabinoids. Live Resin gives patients a powerful, aromatic experience and a wide sensation of effects.

Live Resin is available in the Orchard Nectar, and Member Berry strains across Florida. These will be packages in 5g sizes. Trulieve intends to produce strain-specific products for its new line.
Trulieve wants to maintain other medicinal properties of the cannabis plant
According to Kim Rivers, the CEO of Trulieve, the company has been developing products rich in terpene and a single oil source. They wanted to create products that focus on components other than CBD and THC. The medical properties of cannabis are not just because of the cannabinoids such as CBD and THC but also other components of the plants.

Rivers adds that using hydrocarbon extraction will enable Trulieve to add more products to their catalogue and create more natural, innovative and effective products for their patients in Florida.
The first to buy Live Resin was a patient from Tallahassee, Nicole Walker. Walker is excited to try the new product and, as a regular customer of Trulieve’s concentrates, expects a high-quality product.

With hydrocarbon extraction, solvents are used to process cannabis gently at a low temperature. This ensures that high quantities of cannabinoids, terpene and the original flavours from the plants are retained. Using low heat protects the plant’s properties making the consumption the same as smoking whole flower cannabis.

Trulieve, a fully licensed vertically integrated cannabis company, is the first and biggest in Florida. Its products are cultivated and produced in-house. These products are then distributed to Trulieve dispensaries in the state. They can also offer home-delivery services to patients.
Trulieve is licensed to operate in Massachusetts, West Virginia, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and California.
