Zambia: The Zambia Air Force celebrated the Silver Jubilee for the Course No.36 intake 1999 Officers. The event was hosted at the Chamba Valley Officers Mess on the previous Friday, June 28.
During the event, Commander, Lt Gen Oscar Msitu Nyoni urged senior officers to always exhibit high levels of discipline. He further noted that they should remain professional on and off duty.
The remarks were part of a speech delivered by Commandant, Center of Advanced Learning (CAL) Brig Gen Richard Malama Bwalya. He made the speech on behalf of the Commander, Lt Gen Oscar Msitu Nyoni.
Lt Gen Nyoni said his command recognized and appreciated the Twenty-Five (25) years of service. He noted that the Officers have rendered in service to ZAF and the country at large.
Zambia Air Force shared some glimpses from the event on their social media and paid a tribute to the members of the Zambia Air Force for their dedication. The leaders have shared that they are proud and grateful for the officers who have dedicated their lives to the service of the nation
The Air Force Commander reminded the senior officers that they were an integral link between Air Force command, junior officers, and Non-Commissioned Officers. Accordingly,  they are expected to provide leadership and insight into the Air Force Commander’s strategic vision.
Speaking on the same occasion, the Course Senior, who spoke on behalf of the course members, Col Kelvin Kalunga, said their anniversary symbolized their resolve to continue offering their services to ZAF and the nation.
He said the course members had gathered to celebrate their unwavering dedication to the defence of the country and the bond that time and distance have not diminished the bond of friendship and shared experiences that have shaped their service lives.
Col Kalunga thanked Command for the unwavering support course 36 has continued to receive. Course no.36 intake 1999 on Friday, 28 June 2024, celebrated 25 years of unbroken and dedicated service to ZAF and the nation at large amidst pomp and splendor.
