Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, recently attended the world investment forum in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event was the eighth edition of the forum and hosted by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
The members of staff from the official Investment Promotion Agency in the country also accompanied him. The Deputy Prime Minister handles the responsibility for investment in Saint Lucia.
The investment forum was scheduled for the week starting October 16, 2023. The event concluded on Friday, October 20, 2023. The officials of Invest Saint Lucia have shared some glimpses of the event on their social media. The Deputy Prime Minister and a delegation of officials from Invest Saint Lucia have travelled to Abu Dhabi for the event on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
The aim of the week long visit to the United Arab Emirates was to promote the tourism and investment sector of Saint Lucia among the High Net Worth Individuals and international investors from across the globe. The 8th World Investment Forum (WIF) hosted by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) brought together representatives from around the world.
The initiative was focused on discussing the several investment challenges that the developing nations of the world face. The discussion especially concerned how these nations face these challenges while tackling the ongoing global crises.
The forum was hosted under the theme of “Investing in Sustainable Development.” The officials shared some images of the booth they had set up at the Forum in Abu Dhabi. The officials took the opportunity to discuss their investment products.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, has been working hard to promote the investment products of the country. Invest Saint Lucia has accordingly announced they are “keeping the momentum” of promotion.
The agency has also urged people to come and connect with them in the upcoming investment forums in October 2023.
