Botswana: The First National Bank of Botswana (FNBB) has donated to the Botswana Red Cross Society. The donation was made by the organization on Thursday, January 11. The First National Bank of Botswana announced that they are making the donation with the aim of making a positive change in the community.
First National Bank of Botswana (FNBB) has made the donation through its Corporate Social Responsibility arm. The organization donated stationery, toiletries, toys and clothing to the Botswana Red Cross Society.
The handover ceremony was hosted in the Botswana Red Cross Society office. The officers have shared their appreciation for the donations for the benefit of the people of Botswana.
The director of First National Bank of Botswana (FNBB) Director, Jennifer Makgabenyana, delivered an address at the handover ceremony. She claimed that the bank is privileged to be partnering with the BRCS in making a positive change in society.
Meanwhile, Director Makgabenyana added that these donations from their staff signify their deep commitment to uplifting and supporting local communities. The organization has been dedicated to assisting in community development.
Further, the director claimed that it aligns with the bank’s strategy pillar of giving back and empowering the communities. The people of the country have been appreciating them
Meanwhile, representatives of the Botswana Red Cross Society, who were also present at the time of the handover, applauded the gesture.
Kutlwano Mukokomani, the BRCS Secretary General, appreciated FNBB, saying that the initiative will greatly help the beneficiaries. Secretary General Mukokomani highlighted that BRCS is the gateway to communities across Botswana.
The organization, according to him is always willing to partner with corporates to help respond to Humanitarian needs.
Mukokomani encouraged the bank employees to subscribe to become BRCS members to offer their expertise towards the Humanitarian cause.
The people of Botswana have extended their appreciation to the organization for their partnership with one another. The collaboration between the two organizations will help the communities of the country significantly.
