KwaZulu Natal (Waterloo): A child of 5 years old is missing from his school in Waterloo, KwaZulu Natal (KZN) on Wednesday. Family members requested assistance from Reaction Unit officers.
Family told officers that it was his first day of school when he went missing. But, as per News Invasion sources, the child has been located. While Reaction Officers were searching for him, Mpanza’s family received a call from a taxi driver informing them that the boy accidentally boarded his mini bus after school. After dropping off his passengers, he noticed the child still in the vehicle.
He questioned him, but the boy was unable to confirm his residential address. The driver then searched his school bag and discovered his parent’s contact details. Mpanza was dropped off at his residence after the driver made contact with his family.
Family members visited the police station, where they requested urgent action from South Africa Police and Reaction Unit officers in order to find him. The boy’s name is Ayabonga Riri Mpanza. He is just five-year-old kid.
Furthermore, reports indicated that the child attended his first day of Grade R at Waterloo Primary School in Waterloo – KZN on Wednesday. His family arrived in the afternoon at approximately 1:00 to uplift him but were advised that pupils were dismissed early due to water restrictions in the area. It cannot be confirmed if he attempted to locate his own way to his Frog Road residence from the school. Reaction Officers are currently searching.
Reaction officers also requested to share this post, especially if someone has information regarding Mpanza.
Moreover, the Mhlasini (KZN) ward councillor also contacted Reaction Unit officers on Wednesday afternoon and requested help to find the boy.
The councillor also requested officers to find him near the school, and that area is known as Tommy’s.
He also said, “The child appears to be suffering from a mental illness and cannot provide any information.”
