Lusaka, Zambia: Lusaka Central Police arrested and detained one of the local pastors, Abraham Lloyd Mulenga, aged 32, on Wednesday. He is also a leader of Angelic Ministry Church in Lusaka.
According to the reports, Police arrested him in connection with a case that occurred on February 6 at around 8 p.m. on Cairo Road in Lusaka.
Police also reported that Pastor Mulenga was taken into custody for allegedly conducting himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace. There is also an allegation on Pastor, which stated that he entered Shoprite along Cairo Road with a group of 100 people/youths, whom he had rounded up earlier, purportedly to clean the town centre.
Subsequently, Mulenga accompanied the group into the same shop with the intention of purchasing food for them. However, he failed to settle the bill, leading to the intervention of the authorities.
Lusaka Police currently detained the suspect at Lusaka Central Police Station, where he will face the charges related to the offence of Conduct Likely to Cause a Breach of the Peace.
Additionally, it has been discovered that Mulenga is facing another case at Chawama Police Station, where he is alleged to have committed the offence of Obtaining Money by False Presence. Following due process, the suspect will be transferred to Chawama Police Station to answer for the charges brought against him.
