Botswana: The Botswana National Sports Commission (BNSC) commemorated the World walking Day. The commemoration event was hosted in partnership with TAFISA at the National Stadium in Gaborone.

The aim of the commemoration was to highlight the importance of walking and physical activities in promoting health of the community. The officials have shared that it is important for people of all ages to participate in the event.

The worldwide commemoration of the event was attended by several members of the community. The leaders have shared some images from the event on their social media account.

The organizers of the event organized a walk along with several other wellness programs and friendly competitions. The BNSC Board Chairman Marumo Morule and CEO Tuelo Serufho actively participated in the event. They extended their support to promote healthy lifestyles among children
