Botswana: The Police service of Botswana has played a highly crucial role in the successful conclusion of the country’s general election. The election process was hailed by nations all over Africa as the Botswana Democratic Party conceded power to the UDC.
The Botswana Police Service were given the responsibility of delivering a safe and secure general election. The Commissioner of Police, Dinah Marathe has claimed that the officers have successfully delivered on their responsibilities.
The Commissioner of Police, who met with the 6th president of Botswana, Advocate Duma Gideon Boko for his election. She hoped that the new president of Botswana will have a highly successful tenure.
The Commissioner said that she and her officers are looking forward to working with the President under his leadership. Commissioner Marathe also hoped that they can make the country more secure and safe for its people.
The Commissioner met the President of Botswana on Monday, at which point, she extended heartfelt best wishes on behalf of the Botswana Police Service. Commissioner Dinah Marathe reiterated her commitment to supporting President Boko in his tenure.

The BPS leader said that she was happy to witness the Police Service display a professional behavior as they upheld democracy. The election results have shown that the people of Botswana were willing for a change in the administration.
This is why, the Botswana democratic Party, who were in power for 58 years, have had to concede to a newer generation of youngsters. The electoral act of Botswana reflected the voice of the people extremely well.
