South Africa: President Cyril Ramaphosa visited United Arab Emirates to participate in the Heads of State Dialogue on ‘A vision for Global Energy’. The event was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) in UAE.
There met with the President of the International Union for Conservation of Nature – Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak. They met during a moderate session to bring together the global sustainability community to ignite impactful dialogues and bold ideas which aimed at fostering cross-sector collaboration and delivering breakthrough solutions to advance sustainable development worldwide.
President Ramaphosa also held meeting with Group Chief Executive Officer of Group-42 – Peng Xiao during his official visit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). There, the South African President engaged with leading captains of the industry and business leaders to promote investment and strengthen collaboration.

Along with the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) Ramaphosa also attended the Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards.
Reportedly, the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026: Heads of the State Panel – Fireside Chat was also observed which was based on the ‘Topic: A vision for Global Energy’.
The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week has set the tone for global ambition, collaboration and impact by reinforcing the role of UAE as a bridge between global nations and a source of inspiration for the world.
This event began on January 11, 2026 and will be observed till January 15, 2026. The event mobilise the leaders from government, business and society to chart the next era of sustainable development. With the theme ‘The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go’, ADSW connects worldwide ambition with action across innovation, finance and people that showcase how the world can move forward with confidence.
