Popular American Youtuber IShowSpeed is in Senegal and will hold the AFCON trophy parade for them. He is on the African Tour and until now he has visited the 14 countries.
Being on African tour, he has started his trip from Morocco, then Algeria, to Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Eswatini, Mozambique, then to Botswana, South Africa and then visited Angola and now he is in Senegal.

Originally knowns as Darren Jason Watkins Jr. he is an online streamer and one of the most famous internet personalities in the world.
As per the sources, IShowSpeed completed its massive 28-day tour i January 2026. He took the tour across the African continent titled as ‘Speed Does Africa’. The tour began on December 29, 2025 in Angola, that saw him visiting 20 other countries including South Africa, Botswana, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Algeria and so on.
While being in South Africa he engaged in car-spinning activity, learned amapiano dance moves and played the indigenous game Diketo with locals.
Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis also shared a video clip while meeting him officially on his social media page.
When he was in Ethiopia, he ate raw meat and experienced the local delicacy. There he met with fans who were moved to tears by his visit. In Eswatini, he was given the name ‘Logijimako’ which means the one who runs, that somehow matches with his real title IShowSpeed, during a royal warrior initiation ceremony.
Speed became the first person to ever livestream from inside the Great Pyramid of Giza. He spent over $200,000 for exclusive access and also paraglided over the pyramid complex and created a historic milestone in Egypt.
During the tour he made a record, as his YouTube channel surpassed 49 million subscribers while he was streaming from Algiers, Algeria. His stop in Kenya was particularly successful. He then broke the records with over 8.4 million views in just five hours.
The tour concluded on Jan 18, 2026 at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final between Morocco and Senegal, where he appeared as the Lion Mascot of the tournament.

This tour by IShowSpeed has been widely credited for challenging the long-held Western stereotypes of Africa that showcased the modern infrastructure of the continent, along with the vibrant culture and beauty to millions of global viewers.
Some of the critics called it as a ‘fleeting spectacle’ and many local tourism officials and residents praised the event for ‘rewriting the narrative’ of their countries.
