St. Kitts and Nevis: The Nigerian Association of St. Kitts and Nevis honoured several distinguished nationals during an Investiture Ceremony held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the Windsor University. There they were recognised for their exceptional service and longstanding contributions to the Nigerian community within the Federation.
Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew also attended the ceremony and underscored the significance of the occasion and the growing relationship between St. Kitts and Nevis and Nigeria. Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Geoffrey Hanley and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Denzil Douglas were also present there.
The formal ceremony brought together government officials, community leaders, members of the diplomatic corps and invited guests in a celebration of unity, cultural exchange and dedicated community service.
During the evening proceedings – Ambassador Rosalyn Hazelle, Apostle Debbie Isaac, Ramesh Mulkanoor, Franklin Dorset and Gary Liburd were each recognised for their outstanding work, leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthen the Nigerian Community and foster meaningful connections across cultures. The honourees were commended for their years of dedicated service and their positive contributions towards community development, cultural integration and cooperation within the Federation.
Furthermore, speakers at the ceremony highlighted the importance of cultural diversity and international friendship. They noted that the Nigerian Community continues to play an important role in the social and cultural landscape of St. Kitts and Nevis. The event also reflected the shared values of unity, respect and collaboration that continues to strengthen ties between the people of both nations.
Nigerian Association of St. Kitts and Nevis used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to promote cultural awareness, support community engagement and build stronger partnerships within the Federation. Guests were also treated to an atmosphere of celebration and appreciation that showcased the vibrant connection between Nigerian heritage and the multicultural spirit of St. Kitts and Nevis.
