Kenya: Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Ababu Namwamba received a courtesy call from the Kenya Blood Ambassador and youth affairs enthusiast Charlene Ruto. The president’s daughter and internet personality met the cabinet secretary for critical discussions.

The Ministry shared the glimpses from the meeting on their social media page. Shedding light on some of the important details of the meeting, the ministry said: They discussed areas of mutual interest and collaboration.

Meanwhile, CS Ababu assured Charlene of his Ministry’s keen focus on promoting youth affairs. The Ministry has pledged to work towards the initiative through the monetization of the creative and sports industries in line with the #TalantaHela program.

Additionally, the Cabinet Secretary called on Charlene to use her great social media presence and her huge following in support of the revolutionary #TalantaHela initiative, which is already putting #PesaMfukoni on the youth, sportsmen and women as well the creatives.

On her part, Charlene lauded Cabinet Secretary Ababu for his transformational leadership at the ministry. Charlene applauded the Ministry of Youth Affairs Creative Economy’s dedication to the people.

She acknowledged the huge benefits of the #TalantaHela program in identifying, nurturing and monetizing talents. The Talenta Hela initiative will help the youngsters of the country to earn from their talents.

Later, Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba hosted the sports nutritionist and renowned Kenyan born premier league players’ private chef Bernice Kariuki, where they engaged in a wide range of discussions spanning sports nutrition and dieting.

CS Ababu called on Chef Bernice to extend her wealth of experience and knowledge in the sports nutrition arena to Kenya’s national teams’s fold.

The celebrity chef, famous for having a section of Arsenal Football Club’s players on her list of clients, assured the CS of her willingness to work with the Ministry on matters of nutrition, which is key to ensuring the optimum performance of athletes.
