While handing over the donation, the Chairperson of BIHL Trust, Ngwatshi Enyatseng, said the BIHL is aware that, unlike scores of people who will be celebrating the festive season with their families, police officers will be busy providing safety and security to the communities across the country. She noted that the donation is an appreciation of the essential services offered by the BPS during this time of the season.

Enyatseng said the Trust pledges to strengthen their partnership with the BPS and support their efforts during the festive season, which started in the month of November with the launch of 60 Days of Action on Crime and Road Safety. The Chairperson urged BPS to continue with their unwavering commitment and ensure that the festive season is safe and secure.

While receiving the donation on behalf of the Acting Commissioner of Police, the Director of Operations, Senior Assistant Commissioner Katlholo Mosimanegape, thanked the BIHL Trust for the good gesture.

He stated that the hampers will motivate the officers who will be on duty at the various roadblocks as they feel appreciated. He also said the donations are an indication that the stakeholders realise the value that BPS add to the community.

The Director of Operations also appreciated the long standing partnership between the BIHL Trust and Botswana Police Service.
