South Africa: The officials of the Reaction Unit recovered the dead body of an unidentified victim in the Industrial Park Drive in Redfern – KZN, a short while ago. The body was recovered on Monday, while the victim is suspected to have drowned during the torrential floods of Saturday.

The number of fatalities caused by the floods of January 13 will go up by a number if the officials confirm the suspect’s connection. The officials have said that they are currently investigating the circumstances of the victim’s drowning.

The Reaction Unit South Africa shared that one of their officers was sought by a passerby at approximately 11:42. He reached out to the law enforcement officers after he discovered the body.

Reaction Officers & Paramedics proceeded to the river and discovered the man’s body under a culvert in Redfern – KZN. Most of his body was wrapped in debris. The reaction officers on the scene have shared some images of the recovery of the deceased body.

Seeing some of these images, the social media users said, “Look at the dirt. No wonder everything is overflowing during rain.”

The first lives claimed by the raging floods in the KwaZulu Natal region were that of a woman and a child. Meanwhile, four others were swept away in raging waters due to the overflowing rivers. The people of the region are extremely disappointed with the situation in the country.

The flash floods have been constant in the region for the last years and have disrupted the lives of the people of the country. Meanwhile, social media users have extended their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased victim.

The people hoped that they would find the strength to bear the loss of their loved one.

The reaction Unit Officers are currently looking for a man presumed to have drowned after attempting to traverse a flooded bridge in Mhlasini – KZN. The officials had temporarily called off the search due to high-rise water in the river, with the promise of resuming later in the day.
