Who is Sidhu Mossewala?

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, better famous by his stage name Sidhu Moose Wala, was an Indian singer, rapper, songwriter, actor and politician associated with Punjabi music and Punjabi cinema.

He started his career as a songwriter for the song “License” by Ninja and started his singing career on a duet song titled “G Wagon”. Following his debut, he cooperated with Brown Boyz for various tracks released by Humble Music.

How did he die?

The singer was journeying in his Mahindra Thar SUV to visit his aunt in Barnala (Punjab) when he was shot dead in wide daylight.

He was not alone in the car. He and his two friends, Gurvinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh, who were also with him in the car, survived the attack. Gurvinder Singh witnessed the attack from the backseat and has revealed how it all went down.

According to his friend, Sidhu Moose Wala didn’t take his duo of security detail along as five people could not be accommodated in the jeep. His father Balkaur Singh had told the cops that he was following Sidhu Moose Wala in another car with the two security men.

When Sidhu Moose Wala was about to reach his aunt’s village, a shot was fired from behind the jeep, and another car blocked his car from the front.

A man carrying an automatic charge rifle appeared in front of the jeep and started shooting indiscriminately, Gurvinder Singh said.

The 28-year-old singer also fired two times from his pistol, which was after recovered from his jeep, but it was no match for the sophisticated attack rifles.

Gurvinder Singh stated that shooters attacked it from three sides, and firing continued. Sidhu Moose Wala tried to run but couldn’t, he added.

Sidhu Moose Wala was attacked over 30 times by around eight to 10 attackers, as police sources had earlier said. After firing so many shots, the attackers checked whether he was alive.
