The stylish tents at the camp are actually spaced apart under a lovely forest of mixed woodland of False Mopane and Teak that provides shade for those sweltering hot summer days. The site overlooks grasslands and a waterhole which strongly attracts the wildlife.

Camp Silwane is wild with no fences surrounding it so guests have a chance of watching elephants walking past to the water hole or see the regular group of sable also known as ‘richesse’, who have made the camp their home amongst a host of other wildlife.

At Silwane Tented Camp, it is likely the guest who will hear the rasping cough of the elusive resident leopard padding close by in the evening.

Considerably, each tent has its own veranda that faces the setting sun and allows the enjoyment of a private ‘sundowner’ or that early morning mug of coffee, when the sky flushes pink and the air is filled with birdsong.

Befitting, the ‘lion camp’ each tent is named after the famous lions to give them a tribute, such as Mpofu, Judah and Cecil all on teak decking. Jericho, Mopane, Sidule and the furthest tent, Bhubezi on concrete foundations.

Spacious Silwane Tents are furnished with two ¾ beds, available with the option of adding a stretcher or two, for children and are en-suite.

The tents are maintained regularly and are furnished with the natural products as most of them are handcrafted by the local artisans.

The Sustainable solar energy is used for lighting and to power a fan in each tent. Silwane Tented Safari Camp is committed to offer guests a comfortable and fully catered experience.
