Capetonians are ready to celebrate new year with Stormers v/s Bulls rugby match at DHL Stadium on Jan 03, 2026.
Reportedly, the spectators are advised to please note the parking arrangements and other logistics for game day. Over 40,000 spectators are expected to attend the game at DHL Stadium this coming Saturday.
The DHL Stadium gates for the game will open at 03:00 p.m. with the match scheduled to kick-off at 06:00 p.m.
Considering the facilities, a free MyCiTi shuttle service will transport spectators to the stadium. The buses will pick the visitors from the Civic Centre, Thibault Square and the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). This service is only available to ticket holders.
The shuttle service will start operating from 02:30 p.m. from the Civic Centre, then to Thibault Square and then to the CTICC. The last bus will depart the stadium and the Green Point Precinct at 10:00 p.m. at night.
At the CTICC, the MyCiTi shuttle will operate from the City Sightseeing bus stop near the Entrance – 03 on Walter Sisulu Avenue. Approximately 1000 parking bays are available at the CTICC at a nominal price. Parking will open at 02:00 p.m. and online bookings are also available to secure a spot.
For those who are driving into the city centre, the City of Cape Town will open its parking areas for ticket holders from 02:00 p.m. The parking bays, accessible from Hertzog Boulevard incoming and on Civic Road, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The parking will close at 10:30 p.m. Paid parking is also available at the CTICC, Parkalot on Jack Craig Street and at Harbour Arch on Harbour Arch Boulevard. Off-street parking will be available free from 01:00 p.m. on Saturdays, is also available in the CBD.
Notably, the residents and motorists are advised that Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Stephan Way, Vlei Road and Granger Bay Boulevard will be impacted from 6:00 a.m. until after the game.
