Zambia: Team head coach Esau Chalo Zulu says that the company has yet to come on board to start sponsoring the team upon qualifying for the national league.
He says everyone who wants to help the team should not tarnish his image and that of team manager Chibisa Banda because the team now belongs to all easterners as compared to when it was playing provincial FAZ division one league.
Zulu stressed that his technical bench could only step out of the team on the basis that sponsors come on board and look at the well-being of the players who also have needs to attend to.
“I was the main sponsor of the team when it was playing provincial FAZ division one league; you can ask everyone and the committee. The community helped also, but when the team qualified for the national league, I handed it back to the community and the business entities to help with any form of contribution because the door is open,” Zulu says.
When asked about the team’s preparations ahead of tomorrow’s game, Zulu said the team is ready for tomorrow’s game against brave Nchanga Rangers, adding that it’s a plus playing against a top side that has been existence for so long in Zambian football.
“We don’t fear any team now because we have adapted well to the standard of national league and we will win tomorrow’s game against Nchanga rangers for our fans, Let them believe in us & come in numbers at DK stadium to support us,” he said.
And when asked about the status of striker Brian Sakala who’s loaned to Imena golden stars, team manager Chibisa Banda said it’s not the right time to be talking about Brian’s issue as the team is focusing on winning games and remain playing national league football.
Gate charges for tomorrow’s clash against Nchanga rangers are going at K100 VIP, K20 grand stand and K10 open wing.
