St Kitts: The members of the Conaree Community participated in the second annual Christmas festival and tree lighting. The event was attended by several community members, with the Member of the Parliament, Dr Terrance Drew.
The Prime Minister extended an invitation to the members of the community to participate in the annual Christmas themed celebration. The celebrations around Christmas have already started in the various communities of St Kitts.
During the previous week, Basseterre had hosed “In the spirit of Christmas, where a number of people kickstarted Christmas. The celebrations have started with the first week of the month, with cultural programmes, talent showcases and more.
During the recently concluded Christmas Festival and Tree Lighting, the community came together to celebrate. The celebration was facilitated by the Prime Minister, who started this Christmas tradition for the first time in 2023.
The members of the community have shared that the event was hosted with the aim of promoting unity and preserve a sense of comradrie. Dr Terrance Drew was proud to announce that the people celebrated the pre-Christmas festivities with a special guest, Susan Best.
The community gathered at the venue directly in front of the community center for the event to start at 6:00 PM. The festivities have been supported by several partners. The people from neighbouring islands have also applauded the Conaree Member of Parliament for his efforts.
The people had the opportunity to win several giveaway prizes. The officials have shared that the people were happy to participate in the community Christmas tree lighting.
The members of the community have shared that Dr Drew will continue to organize this event for the Conaree Community. The members of the community have shared that it is important for the leaders and peoples representatives to take responsibility for organizing celebration and bonding experiences.
