The athletes have recorded their season best performances during the Paris paralympics season. The officials have shared that the athletes who participated during the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris were received both support and applause from several organizations in the nation.
The two athletes Edwin Masuge reached their personal bests of 49.38 in men’s 400 m T13 and Gloria Majaga with 59.72 in women’s 400 m T13. The Members of the community have shared that it is important for the athletes to continue receiving this support.
The officials have shared the Debswana company representative was a part of the athletes’ team of Managers and Coaches. The leaders have shared that it is the responsibility of the organization to support the sports sector continuously.

After the return of the athletes, the Debswana Diamond Company and Paralympics Society of Botswana (PASOBO) hosted a welcome ceremony.
The event was hosted on Thursday, in the presence of several members of the organization.
At the event, the PASOBO president Tshepho Mafereka commended the athletes for their excellence beyond their disabilities. She took the opportunity for sharing positive experiences from the trip, including excursions such as boat rides and sightseeing in Paris. Debswana’s Head of Corporate Services and Company Secretary for the organization, Bonny Thebenyane emphasized the importance of corporate support for sporting talent.
Athletes Edwin Masuge and Gloria Majaga expressed gratitude for Debswana’s support, with Masuge optimistic about improved performance in 2028.
