Dominica: Denise Charles, the Minister for Tourism of the Commonwealth of Dominica, has expressed her satisfaction after the arrival of the majority of equipment required to begin construction work on the International Airport in the country.
The Minister expressed her excitement, saying, “something is happening, and it is so exciting!” The vessel carrying the equipment reached its destination on March 3, 2023.
Minister Denise Charles emphasized that the progress made towards constructing the International Airport is a crucial achievement for the people of Dominica. She added, “Dominica is on the move, and God is Good! The airport is being built under the leadership of the Roosevelt Skerrit-led Labour Party Administration. We are the ones making it happen!”
She also called Dominicans by saying, “it’s high time to come and take advantage of the benefits during construction. She also said every segment of the construction and project will be done with proper law and order of this land. There are employment opportunities available! So, let’s put a stop to any unproductive talks and focus on constructing the International Airport.
Today (Sunday), she also visited the Woodbridge Bay Port. She stated that she must praise the team and the leadership at DASPA for their efficient association and coordination of the offloading and storage of equipment and materials.
The Tourism Minister commended the progress made towards the construction of the International Airport, stating “Well Done! #WeBuildingIt!! #ItsOurs!” She requested everyone to pray for the success of this crucial project, which is a significant gateway to economic prosperity.
In her role as the Minister of Tourism, Denise Charles expressed her happiness that the International Airport’s construction would not only enhance tourism in Dominica but also in the surrounding islands, leading to the growth of the entire region.
Recently, the country’s Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, highlighted the significance of the equipment’s arrival for the International Airport’s construction on his official social media account. He shared a video to emphasize the importance of the project.
