KwaZulu Natal (Broadlands): A man was shot while he was with his son on Old North Coast Road at the entrance of Broadlands – KZN on Monday afternoon.

As per the reports, a man exited from his own vehicle and approached another vehicle (Gold BMW M4) that was stationary in traffic. The suspect fired multiple shots before he fled in their gateway vehicle. The Victim’s minor son was in the passenger seat. He was not injured.

According to the Reaction Unit, South Africa Phoenix Operations Centre, the centre became flooded with calls from passing motorists reporting the shooting. The reaction Unit team were dispatched immediately.

On arrival, the Victim was being stabilized by Paramedics from a private ambulance service. However, the motive of the shooting is still unknown, and no one has made official statements about it.

The residents seemed in shock, as it is quite shocking for all to witness this kind of incident in broad daylight. Residents are in a state of worry about the child’s mental health right now as he is going through such a situation and witnessing his father in this condition.

“This is so sad, eish this child will be traumatized, a nightmare for the rest of his life,” said one of the residents.

“We think we’re fortunate so far because we read about it in the news, but most of us will experience it first hand in our lifetime. I don’t care who says what we need, the death penalty,” said another resident.

Moreover, people are more worried about the child only and thinking about his mental health. Residnets are coming on social media to give sympathy to the child and his family.

“So, what a trauma for the little one; we need CEC prayer as a country. This is not ok at all!!!!!” said one of the other residnet.
