Nigeria: Business Tycoon ‘E-Money’ takes pledge to take care of the children of late Nollywood actor Junior Pope, who died in an accident while boating.
Nigerian businessman and socialite Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money is Kcee’s younger brother. He is committed to fulfil Junior Pope’s touching words, while he was on the boat.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Five Star Music will support and mentor the three children of the late Nollywood actor John Odonwodo. The actor died after the boat capsized in the Anam River in Anambra state.
E-Money declared this on his Instagram account on Wednesday while presenting his condolences to Junior Pope.
Presenting his condolences, E-Money wrote, “It has been one week since you departed from this world. You left behind a profound sense of loss that reverberates, and a great sorrow not only among us but the whole Africa and beyond, felt that pain.”
The Businessman further added, “Your presence, as both a friend and a brother, is deeply missed ‘JP’. The weight of your absence is not really bearable and is a very regretful for us, yet we wish for comfort from the belief that God will grant us the resilience to carry forward and uphold the legacy that you have entrusted to us.”
“We tenderly remember JP’s final words on the boat that he spoke, ‘Na only me dem born, I get three children, and now me (I am) go (going to) raise them,’ and we solemnly commit to honouring that vow,” confirmed E-Money.
CEO of Five Star Music has added that your children now find solace in the embrace of the Okonkwo family and as a member of that family, we pledge to nurture them as you all would have wished.
Emeka Okonkwo expressed that the absence of the actor Junior Pope leaves a palpable void his memory will forever be held as dear. Rest peacefully, as knowing that you are deeply cherished and may God’s blessings encompass his soul, his family and all who hold him in their hearts.
As per the sources, Junior Pope and three others were confirmed dead when the boat was travelling in after returning from a movie that set the capsized in Asaba.
