Zambia: The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has announced a reduction in the pump prices of Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene and Jet A-1. The organization has announced the prices for the month of May 2025.
The announcement of the fuel prices came through a statement that was issued by ERB Board Chairperson James Banda. According to the ERB notice:
The pump price of petrol has been reduced from 34.98 kwacha per liter to 32.14 kwacha per liter.
The price of Diesel has been adjusted from 30.23 kwacha to 27.38 kwacha per liter. The member of the community.
He said other petroleum products prices have also been revised to similarly to reduction. The products which have undergone changes include Kerosene from 29.56 kwacha to 26.88 kwacha per liter while Jet A-1 has been adjusted from 32.51 kwacha to 29.44 kwacha per liter.
Banda noted that the newly announced prices of the petroleum products will come into effect at Midnight on April 30, 2025. The prices will remain in effect until they are revised by the ERB.

The currency of Zambia has appreciated against the United States Dollar by 0.06%. Previously, the price was from K28.27/US$ and now it is K28.25/US$. The effect of the major pricing variables has led to decrease in the domestic fuel prices.” He said.
