Mumba used to specialise in the 800m event and was once a flagbearer for Zambia at the 2012 Summer Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies. He was born in Kitwe, Zambia.

In receiving the donated shoes, OYDC Zambia Chief Executive Officer Dr Fredrick Chitangala thanked Prince Africa Track Foundation for this donation and disclosed that the process of revamping kids athletics at OYDC Zambia had reached an advanced stage.

Dr Chitangala reiterated the centre’s commitment to see that young athletes get to enjoy athletics training at the facility as renovations for the track and field commence in collaboration with various stakeholders.
