Free State Premier Dukwana Mxolisi stands for people as she believes that wrong things are occurring in people. “We want to correct wrongs done against our People,” said Free State Premier Dukwana Mxolisi.
Free State Premier, Mxolisi Dukwana, accompanied by MEC for Finance, Gadija Brown and the two district champions of Mangaung, MEC for Education, Makalo Mohale and MEC for Community Safety Roads and Transport, MaQueen Letsoha-Mathae visit the Barolong Boo Seleka Royal House in Thaba Nchu.
The visit takes place on the day that the province is hosting the fourth of its District Social Compact Imbizo in Thaba Nchu, Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality.
Remarks of Free State Premier on the occasion of the visit to Barolong Royal House.
“We are here to say to the people of Thaba Nchu, how can we work together to strengthen the work of government and improve the lives of the people of Thaba Nchu,” said MEC Mxolisi.
She also explained about her visit, “Our visit here is to seek enlightenment on where and how we can bring development consistent with the community of Thaba Nchu. Our challenges are not insurmountable, and through our collective efforts, we can bring hope and tangible changes in the lives of our people.”
The Premier took the opportunity to also announce that Kgosi Moroka will receive a new vehicle that does not hinder her from performing her constitutional duties of leading the Barolong Traditional Council and doing the work of the Traditional and Khoi-San House of Traditional Leaders.”
Amongst issues raised by Kgosi Moroka is the issue of insufficient budget allocated to the Council, a major impediment to doing her work and the appalling state of roads in Thaba Nchu.
“He should go to trusts and see the kind of houses people in there and tell us how is he going to make sure we never forfeit another 600 million of human settlements and he must get rid of HOD of human settlements,” said Citizen.
