South Africa: The Free State Department of Health has received a new mobile clinic from Corporate Social Investments and Sasol Foundation. The clinic will also be able to help in serving the people of the community who have had to travel long distances to get access to medical facilities.
The department of Health is delighted to receive the new health Center for the community. The clinic will help the people get easier access to everyday healthcare needs, like flu shots, vaccinations and more.
The department of health in the provincial government of Free State has shared that it is their responsibility to make sure that the people have access to basic primary healthcare. The people of the province have also been looking forward to the development.
The Member of the executive council for health in free state was delighted to receive the keys of a brand new mobile clinic. MEC Monyatso Mahlatsi announced that the cost of the the construction of the clinic was done under an estimated budget of R930 000.
The keys were given to the member of the Executive Council from Gao Mothoagae, Vice President for Corporate Social Investments and Sasol Foundation. The department has shared some images from the handover event on their social media account.
The glittering handover ceremony was held at Fezi Ngubentombi Hospital in Sasolburg on Tuesday, 22 October 2024. The event was attended by a number of healthcare officials who applauded the Corporate Social Investments and Sasol Foundation for the donation.
This mobile clinic will increase the capacity of the Department of Health in strengthening its primary health services. The clinic will provide thee services whuch is vital for the prevention of various diseases among the people.
The department has ensured that the clinic will provide screening for various health diseases and conditions. The doctors at the mobile clinic will also provide vital immunisation schedules for children, women.
The people living in the remote areas, villages across the province and farming communities of Metsimaholo will also be able to benefit from the facilities.
