Kenya: The KPA-FKF Kwale County sponsored football league that kicked off on Dec 26, 2024. The knockout stages will lead to the semi-final qualifiers on Dec 27, 2024.
Reportedly, a total of eight teams are going head-to-head for a shot to advance the next round. Several matches were played out across different grounds, which involved Ukunda Show Ground, Mvindeni Mwaroni and Shamu Primary Grounds.
The matchups saw the teams and let them showcase their incredible skills. Each soccer team which participated in the league, demonstrate their drive to clinch the coveted title of the football tournament champion.
As per the sources, Group-A matches at Ukunda grounds: Amsterdam FC clinched a solid 2-0 victory against Kombani FC and Lungalunga FC managed to squeeze the Mnyenzeni FC with a nail-biting 1-0 win to secure three essential points in an entertaining game that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Later in the afternoon at the same venue Mnyenzeni FC drew 2-2 score against Kombani Youth FC.
Furthermore, Group-B matches at Mvindeni Primary School: Azam FC took a narrow 1-0 win over Vienna FC, while at Shamu grounds, Fafada FC triumphed over Raptors FC wth a score of 2-0 in an exhilarating match despite of losing a player to a red card.
Notably, the grand final is scheduled for Saturday, Dec 28, 2024 at Ukunda Sports Grounds where KPA Board Chairman – Benjamin Tayari will be the chief guest.
The league is sponsored by the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) considering its commitment to nurture talent and support youth development in line with the Corporate Social Investment Policy.
Audience of soccer lovers liked to watch the match and cheered the teams during their matches. The viewers have been very supportive and following this they expressed themselves on the social media.

KPA has also shared photographs from the soccer match and asked the people of Kenya to be there to observe the grand final of the KPA-FKF Kwale County football league.
