Nigeria: A lady travelled with an expired Nigerian passport from London to Lagos. She arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport and shared her experience.
While sharing her experience, the lady said that she had to pay N1-million for London to Lagos flight. She shared that she faced no trouble entering in Nigeria with the expired Nigerian passport but noted that she also had her British passport, with her.
Shade expressed, after travelling with a foreign airline and using an expired Nigerian passport, that she never experienced any trouble while being at the London airport because she was allowed to board the aeroplane. She also said that when she arrived in Nigeria, she was not disturbed as she was allowed to enter into the country.
The lady also noted that apart from her expired Nigerian passport, she also had her British passport with her. She made a video, on her arrival at her hotel room, where she noticed that her experience might be different from others who tried travelling with an expired Nigerian passport.
She cleared at her part that this is her experience and others could be different. She was flying from London, England to Lagos, Nigeria.
Narrating her story, Shade added about how much she paid, which was £544 (turns out be N1milion) and said “When Air Peace released its flights, every other airline dropped their price. I booked it in April it was £544 for there and back.”
Apart from this, when such stories appear, there’s another side of this aspect that a Man purchases passport of St. Kitts and Nevis, which is a twin island country and located in the Caribbean region.
The man was identified as Tayo Aina who said that he paid $150,000 (which is N135 million) to secure the St. Kitts and Nevis passport and citizenship. He said that it would solve the limitations that he experienced while using the Nigerian passport across the world.
